Divine Dining Group has apparently taken over the building that was formerly a Tilted Kilt restaurant on 21st Avenue North in Myrtle Beach and intends to open a new restaurant there.

Signage for Bubba’s Fish Camp & Smokehouse is up at the building adjacent to Mellow Mushroom, and it is being renovated. The location was most recently a Bench Warmers Grill & Tap Room that closed in August 2018 after being open less than a year.

Divine Dining is based in Myrtle Beach and operates 15 restaurants on the Grand Strand under the brands River City Cafe, Nacho Hippo Cantina Maximo, Ultimate California Pizza, Bubba’s Fish Shack and Pawleys Raw Bar.

The company’s website touts that Bubba’s Fish Camp & Smokehouse is coming soon, though Divine Dining director of corporate operations Julie Daniels said the company declines comment on the proposed restaurant or a pending opening.

There is one Bubba’s Fish Shack in Surfside Beach, and that restaurant offers more than a dozen appetizers; southern fried seafood baskets; barbecued ribs; pulled pork; several sandwiches featuring hamburger, chicken, fish and seafood; several salads; a kids menu, and draft beer. Its best-sellers include fried catfish, fried green tomatoes and Pickle Nickels. The building includes a front porch and swings.

Bubba’s Fish Camp and Smokehouse is likely to feature more meat and barbecue offerings.
