Several arrested after tip leads Myrtle Beach police to local neighborhood
A tip from residents in a Myrtle Beach neighborhood has resulted in the arrests of five people and the seizure of more than $8,000 in cash.
According to a Facebook post by the Myrtle Beach Police Department Wednesday evening, officers recently learned reports of drug activity in the area of 12th Ave. South and Yaupon Drive.
Following an “extensive investigation,” officers seized approximately $8,764 in cash, as well as undisclosed amounts of crack cocaine, marijuana and cellphones.
Currently, the names of those arrested have not be released by the MBPD. Check back with The Sun News for this developing story.
