As Royal Caribbean counts down to the July 4 launch of Legend of the Seas, cruisers are getting a first look at some of the most-anticipated new experiences debuting on the new Icon-class cruise ship - like Royal Railway – Legend Station.

An immersive "eatertainment" specialty dining restaurant that first debuted on Utopia of the Seas in 2024, Royal Railway is a dinner theater-style experience where passengers are transported back in time for a simulated train car dining journey. On Utopia of the Seas, passengers enjoy a five-course, frontier-themed meal while LED screen windows, ambient train noise, and onboard theatrics take them on an adventure to the Wild West.

One of the hottest tickets on Utopia of the Seas, Royal Railway is about to pull into a second station aboard Legend of the Seas, bringing dining inspired by vintage train travel to an Icon-class ship for the first time. Here's what passengers can expect as they embark on an all-new train car dining journey along the ancient Silk Routes at Royal Railway – Legend Station.

Royal Railway on Legend of the Seas covers a lot of ground in Asia

Inspired by Marco Polo's Silk Route travels in the 13th century between Italy and China, the Royal Railway journey on Legend of the Seas is designed to make passengers feel like they've traveled thousands of miles in just 90 minutes. Departing from China, the epic adventure takes the land route to Italy through the Middle East and Central Asia.

"From the moment the train departs, the windows open up and we're transported onto the ancient Silk Routes. As the scenery changes so does the experience," a Royal Caribbean team member shared about Royal Railway – Legend Station in a sneak peek video posted on social media.

A five-course meal offers a taste of several different cultures encountered along the Silk Routes, complemented by themed entertainment and immersive storytelling.

"Every stop brings new flavors, new stories, new surprises, all inspired by the cultures. The China stop came with fresh crunchy egg rolls that disappeared from our table in about 30 seconds. Then suddenly you're traveling thousands of miles from China all the way to Italy in just 90 minutes," the Royal Caribbean team member said.

Legend of the Seas specialty dining lineup includes new supper club concept

Royal Railway – Legend Station isn't the only new specialty dining experience setting sail on Legend of the Seas.

Hollywoodland Supper Club, a new Royal Caribbean supper club concept inspired by the golden age of cinema, is making its premiere, too. The Old Hollywood-inspired restaurant will offer a glitzy, multi-course dinner experience that pairs gourmet, cinema-inspired dishes with curated cocktails and carefully selected live jazz music for a night out fit for a starlet.

"We're very excited to give our guests the ability to be celebrities for an evening. Every component of being a celebrity - having excellent food, excellent beverage, and excellent music. You can find that at Hollywoodland Supper Club," Royal Caribbean Product Development Senior Manager Jay Rosser said in a "Making an Icon Class" video about the experience.
