This South Carolina city is among top-searched spring break beach destinations
Spring break is fast approaching, and one South Carolina city is among the top beach destinations.
Myrtle Beach is the sixth-most searched coastal destination for spring break 2026, according to data from Spirit Airlines. This year, roughly 10,000 Spirit flights will depart between March 12 and March 30, which the airline defines as the peak spring break travel period.
With beaches, golf and other attractions, Myrtle Beach draws millions of tourists every year, especially during the peak season from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The Grand Strand was the only destination in the Carolinas to make the top-10 list. Four Florida cities were included: Pensacola, Fort Myers, Pensacola and Fort Lauderdale, which took the top spot.
Two United States Caribbean destinations also made the list with San Juan, Puerto Rico, in second place, and St. Thomas of the U.S. Virgin Islands in eighth place. Internationally, Cancun, Punta Cana and Aruba were all top destinations.
