Animal Tales | All about Jake

This is our Jake, and he is a Chiweenie. Jake was born last year on March 16, and he and his three brothers were taken to a nearby animal shelter, where we rescued him when he was 8 weeks old — or maybe we should say Jake rescued us.

We had just lost our 11 1/2-year-old Chihuahua, Chloe Anne, the month before. Jake loves to play with his older sister, Chesley, and his older brother, Andy Joe. Jake’s favorite thing to do is to chew the chewy bones, to eat anything and to sleep in my lap. He has a little perch in the craft room where he can look out the window and get some sun at the same time. He also loves to have his picture taken and looks very serious when he does. Really, he’s a little prankster, spoiled rotten and greatly loved.
