32nd annual Taste of the Town is Tuesday

The 32nd annual Taste of the Town will be from 4-10 p.m. Tuesday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Taste of the Town is in its 32nd year, and provides ample room to sample foods from more than 50 vendors offering tapas-style tastings from their menu. The event is presented by St. Andrew Catholic School. Tickets cost $5 in advance and can be bought from any HTC location, or at St. Andrew Catholic School and church. Admission tickets are $6 at the door. Children 14 and under admitted free with adult.

Food tickets are $1 each and sold at the event.

Restaurants vie for awards such as, Judged Best Entrée, Judged Best Dessert, People’s Choice and Kid’s Choice for Favorite Restaurant (Entrée) and Favorite Restaurant (Dessert), and more.

Here are notes of what you need to know if you go:

Back Again: The Vineyard Wine Patio, premiering select wines from Southern Wines and Ben Arnold, and the popular Budweiser Autumn Ale House – featured annually by Better Brands, Inc.

New This Year: Silent auction on gift packages to include gift cards from all participating restaurants, golf packages, vacation packages, services and more. Also, CCU KidZone will have CCU prizes and autographs and kids can meet Chauncey. THere will be face painting, corn hole games and more.

Myrtle Beach Pelicans will have a photo booth inside CCU KidZone, where fans can meet Splash and Sharky.

More fun: Kids’ scavenger hunt with $1,000 worth of prizes, including a BMX bike.

Where to park: Convention center charges $5 for parking. If you are a resident of the city of Myrtle Beach and the city parking sticker is displayed on your vehicle, it’s free.Additional parking will be available at no charge in the parking lot on Oak Street, directly across from the Convention Center.
