4 restaurateurs open new Myrtle Beach location. It will serve Indian cuisine
A new restaurant opening in the Market Common area will serve both North and South Indian cuisine in an elevated casual atmosphere.
Located at 1390 Farrow Parkway Unit 3AB in Myrtle Beach, Aura Indian Kitchen is taking over the former space of Mura, a Korean barbecue restaurant that unexpectedly closed in summer 2025.
Aura Indian Kitchen is the latest venture from a group of four restaurateurs with Indian restaurants across the southeast.
Bobby Mammen, Sudev Valavil, Elizabeth Osman and Godson Gomes are the owners of the Grand Strand’s newest Indian dining concept.
The group opened their first Indian dining concept, Masala Mantra Indian Bistro, in Cape Coral, Florida, in 2019. After the success of the first location, the four restaurateurs have since opened two additional locations of Masala Mantra Indian Bistro — one in Jacksonville, Florida, and one in Hilton Head Island.
Aura Indian Kitchen is the restaurateurs’ expansion of their mission to serve the best of Indian cuisine, incorporating dishes from across the country’s regional cuisines.
“Our inspiration lies in not only serving Indian food, but serving a culture,” Mammen said. “Our mantra is to bring the finest Indian cuisine to Myrtle Beach.”
Mammen described Aura Indian Kitchen as an upscale casual dining spot.
The restaurant’s menu features tandoori dishes like tandoori chicken and malai kebab, curries such as tikka masala and vindaloo, and biryanis. The menu also includes several vegetarian meals, such as malai kofta, chana masala and aloo gobi.
Aura Indian Kitchen will open in the Market Common area this week. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch and from 4 to 9 p.m. for dinner, with dinner service extending until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
“Our cuisine is the best of India,” Mammen said. “We have curated it and we are bringing it out here.”
