Gushers Debuts in Candy Aisle With a Reimagined Throwback
Gushers is officially entering the candy aisle.
Almost one year to the day after the popular fruit snack brand announced it would finally release an all-blue flavor mix, Gushers revealed it's launching in the candy aisle for the first time with a reimagined variety that fans may recall from over a decade ago.
Tapping into the current obsession with super sour, swicy and spicy flavors and marking the brand's debut in the candy category, comes Gushers Super Sour and Gushers Sweet & Fiery.
"Gushers has always been about not taking ourselves too seriously and letting fans have fun with their snacks," Ryan Eick, business unit director for Fruit Snacks at General Mills (the parent company of Gushers), explained in a statement. "We're seeing people look for snacks they can experiment with, and they're creating their own sweet, sour and spicy mashups. With Gushers Super Sour and Sweet & Fiery, along with new options across our other fruit snacks brands, we're giving them the bolder flavors they are looking for."

According to the May 6 press release, the flavor-packed Gushers treats are designed to "thrill the taste buds and ignite social feeds." Both versions are made without colors from artificial sources.

- Gushers Super Sour: Blueberry grape, mixed berry and raspberry lemonade flavors deliver a mouthwatering experience with every bite.
- Gushers Sweet & Fiery: Hot mango and spicy watermelon flavors blended with sweet goodness and a spicy kick in Gushers' signature juicy center. Reimagined from its 2010s debut, this version turns up the heat for a spicier experience in the candy aisle.
Both flavors are currently available in the candy aisle at Target stores nationwide (prices may vary), and those who've had 'em claim the Sweet & Fiery version is "so so so hot."
Gushers Also Adds to Its Fruit Snacks Lineup With New Lemonade Mix
The popular namesake fruit snack is also launching a new flavor pack inspired by one of summer's hottest (or should we say coolest) classics: lemonade.
Gushers' new lemonade-flavored fruit snacks feature a mix of pink lemonade, limeade, blue raspberry lemonade and cherry limeade flavors, described by the brand as "a tangy-sweet burst inspired by the classic, refreshing drink."
And as if that wasn't enough nostalgia, General Mills revealed it's introducing new flavors of two other childhood favorites this summer: Fruit by the Foot and Fruit Roll-Ups.
- Fruit by the Foot Splitz: A delicious taste of peach and blueberry in a dual-flavor, pull-apart roll, allowing fans to twist, mix, or enjoy each flavor on its own for a customizable snack experience.
- Fruit Roll-Ups Rainbow Sherbet: A trio of raspberry, lemon and orange creamsicle flavors in a single, mouthwatering roll inspired by the frozen treat - no spoon required.
The new Gushers Lemonade Mix fruit snacks and other General Mills treats are available at major retailers nationwide (prices may vary).
