Police, Krispy Kreme event in Garden City to benefit Special Olympics
The fourth annual Krispy Kreme Cops on Doughnuts Shop will kick off Wednesday and run through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Krispy Kreme store in Garden City. This event is to help raise money for the Special Olympics of South Carolina.
The event will open Wednesday 2 p.m. with a doughnut-eating contest for the media, police and general public. All competitors will have 5 minutes to consume 12 doughnuts, or whoever eats the most doughnuts in the 5-minute time limit will win. All competitors should arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to enter the contest. The winner will win a year of free Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
We will also have the Horry County Police Mobile Command Post truck, jet ski, mule, motors, Krispy Kreme dipping station and, of course, Area 16 Special Olympics athletes during this event.
