Myrtle Beach area restaurant reopens after closing last week without notice
A restaurant in Myrtle Beach will be reopening Monday after closing due to unforeseen circumstances.
Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux will open its doors to customers at 11 a.m., according to a statement from a Facebook post.
The team apologized for the closure but didn’t say what caused it.
The temporary closure started April 11 and was announced through a note posted on the door of their Carolina Forest location on Rodeo Drive. The business first opened in June 2020.
An official with the restaurant did not immediately respond to questions Monday morning about the closure.
“We pride ourselves on our purpose of bringing people together and had to reset on some of our brand standards...” the post states.
There is a second location in Surfside Beach that didn’t close.
In September, a former employee at Walk-On’s filed a lawsuit against the company, saying she was underpaid and not legally compensated for working overtime.
The suit didn’t specify which location plaintiff Madison Doll worked.
The case has been transferred to another court, according to the Horry County Public Index.
