Two restaurant’s get low scores: Sport’s Bistreaux and a restaurant in Myrtle Beach area

Each week the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control performs routine and follow-up restaurant inspections in South Carolina, we receive a report for the Myrtle Beach area and can see how our local restaurants scored.

Two restaurant’s in the Myrtle Beach area did not receive a high enough score to earn an “A” in routine restaurant inspections recently performed by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control.

One restaurant had a follow-up inspection from a previous week (Jan. 23-27) and scored “A” grade.

Plantation Pancake House located in North Myrtle Beach had a routine inspection on Jan. 25 and scored 81 percent. Plantation Pancake House had a follow-up inspection on Feb. 2 and scored 100 percent. All previous violations were corrected according to the SC food grade report.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill located in North Myrtle Beach had a routine inspection on Jan. 31 and scored 86 percent which is a “B” grade. Carrabba’s Italian Grill had a follow-up inspection on Feb. 1 and scored 100 percent “A” having fixed any issues found the previous day.

Legends restaurant & Lounge located in Myrtle Beach had a routine inspection on Jan. 30 and scored 79 percent which is a “B” grade. A follow-up inspection is scheduled within 10 days.

Walk-On’s Bistreaux located on Rodeo Drive in Myrtle Beach had a routine inspection on Feb. 3 and scored 85 percent which is a “B” grade. A follow-up inspection is scheduled within 10 days.

A | 100 - 88 - The retail food establishment earned more than 87 points. Food safety practices appeared to meet the requirements of Regulation 61-25.

B | 87 - 78 - The retail food establishment earned 78-87 points. Food safety practices need improvement.

C | 77 & Below - The retail establishment earned less than 78 points. Food safety practices need significant improvement.

R | Indicates a Routine Inspection - Unannounced and conducted on a frequency determined by the facility’s Risk Category on a frequency of one to four times a year.

F | Indicates a Follow-Up Inspection - Conducted within ten days of a Routine Inspection that requires follow-up verification.
