Bottoms up, Myrtle Beach.

Breweries have been cropping up across the nation in recent years, and the Myrtle Beach area now calls itself home to several. That means a host of locally brewed beer is offered in the region.

We want to find the best one.

The Sun News asked local breweries to submit two of their best beers to get their share of healthy, friendly or maybe not-so-friendly competition.

We heard back from four brew houses — Crooked Hammock Brewery, Grand Strand Brewing Company, New South Brewing Company and Tidal Creek Brew House — and created a bracket-style tournament so they can duke it out.

Fill out the bracket below and we will continue to publish the results of each round, along with an updated bracket showing which beers stayed alive.

Voting will continue throughout the next week.

The results will determine what our readers think is the best beer brewed by a brewery local to the Myrtle Beach area. We’ll publish the final results once the entire bracket has wrapped.

Cheers and happy voting!
