Silver Coast Winery is getting patriotic this summer by teaming up with The Warrior Ride organization and rolling out three new wines.
The winery, at 6680 Barbeque Road in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., has created limited-release spirits, Warrior Ride White, Warrior Ride Blush and Warrior Ride Red, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to The Warrior Ride.
The Warrior Ride is a nonprofit organization started in Oak Island, N.C., that is dedicated to helping wounded veterans with rehabilitation
through uses of adaptive bicycling and other morale-building events, such as kayaking and golf, paid for through donations and grants.
The Warrior Ride is sponsoring the arrival of the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall, which is set to arrive there on July 2 and will be on display to the public for a free viewing at Oak Island Middleton Park until July 6, according to the release.
The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is a 3/5 scale of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C., and it stands 6 feet tall at the center and covers almost 300 feet from end to end.
The Warrior Ride wines will follow the Warrior Ride local tour where samples and purchasing will be available. Purchase of the wines will also be available at the Silver Coast Winery and the Silver Coast Winery Tasting Room Southport, or on the company’s website at www.silvercoastwinery.com.
