Another deli graces the many streets of Myrtle Beach, the newest addition named CB’s Deli Smoothie & Sweets, located next to Lowes Foods in the Ocean Bay Shopping Center off International Drive in Carolina Forest. This little restaurant is still young enough to look crisp and clean, and its appearance is very welcoming to its guests.

Inside, the walls are a cheerful blue with some beach-themed pictures adorning the walls. Though on the smaller side, the bistro is far from stifling, thanks to the large windows and open design. And with the weather finally starting to warm up, the few tables on the outside will undoubtedly garner some attention. Of course, takeout is an option readily available to consumers.

Thus far, CB’s Deli offers an array of subs (and breakfast sandwiches) that can be customized however the patron wishes, including having a wrap instead of bread. Sandwiches can also be toasted or cold, whichever is preferred.

Options include deli staples such as a ham and cheese, veggie or Reuben sub. The Italian sub was nicely balanced, with a little kick thanks to the onions, and not an overwhelming amount of vinegar.

A simple inquiry went a long way with the friendly employees. It seems they are discussing new additions to the menu, the most likely being a steak and cheese sub.

There are plenty of drinks and chips to choose from to go with your sandwich. The deli also has a display of snacks from Amish Farms, offering a few types of jerky or trail mix for those so inclined.

Currently, the deli also sells four smoothie flavors: strawberry, banana, mango and cappuccino. The smoothies are blended upon order and come out smooth and creamy. There is also a coffee machine in the corner where guests can choose what type of coffee they would like and then customize it to their tastes.

Some sweets are available to satisfy a sweet tooth and top off a yummy meal. There are slices of cheesecake, plus some homemade cookies as large as a hand. Some Danishes are also on display, as the deli has a partnership with a local bakery. Every morning, they receive fresh goodies to sell to their customers.

CB’s Deli is still young, and there so far isn’t a website containing information or a menu. Its hours may be subject to change as well, as they figure out what works best for the restaurant. Hopefully, as it gathers a regular client base, CB’s Deli will be able to become more accessible and solidify its presence in Myrtle Beach.
