Launch party set for Croissants cookbook

Croissants Bistro & Bakery will unveil “Bonjour Y’all,” a cookbook written by owner Heidi Vukov, May 9 from 3-6 p.m. at the restaurant, 3751 Robert M. Grissom Parkway, Myrtle Beach. The public is invited.

The event will include book signings by Vukov, live music by Jukebox Elly and cooking demonstrations, as well as local artists and crafters. It also will feature the restaurant’s third annual Spring Wine Tasting and Art Show.

Tickets to the wine-tasting portion of the event are $15. All proceeds from ticket sales and a portion of the book sales go to the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach.

Vukov wrote the new cookbook with Huffington Post blogger Sara Sobota. It features French-southern fusion recipes and includes items from the restaurant, including local seafood, artisanal breads, southern cocktails and desserts.

The cookbook is available for pre-order at www.amazon.com, www.barnesandnoble.com and www.booksamillion.com. It will be available in stores in May.
