Newfoundland Needs Grandma To Let Out His Tux and the Reason Is So Relatable
Unfortunately, many of us put on a few extra pounds over the winter and then spend spring and summer trying to work them off. Poor Chewy, the Newfoundland, can definitely relate. He recently wanted to wear his custom-made tuxedo, and although he could squeeze into it, it was painfully obvious it no longer fit.

Thankfully, his 96-year-old great-grandma came to the rescue once again. She loves making things for Chewy and has created everything from rope toys to Easter bunny ears, so she was probably more than happy to help out her big buddy.
Honestly, Grandma might be part of the reason the tuxedo doesn't fit anymore. In the TikTok video, as @chewythenewfie soaks up some precious pets from his great-grandma, Mom points out the likely cause of his wardrobe troubles, joking, "I think it's because of all the ice cream you feed him."
Grandma doesn't miss a beat and replies, "He can have as much ice cream as he wants."
Well, there you have it.

These two spend a lot of time together, and Grandma is known to spoil Chewy with bowls of ice cream when he's feeling sad and grilled cheese sandwiches when he turns up his nose at dinner. But rather than dwell on who's responsible for the snug fit, Grandma gets right to work and lets out the Newfie's tux a few inches.
What Do Chewy's Fans Think About His Situation?
Nearly all the comments were in support of Chewy and Grandma, as well as their continued ice cream sessions. Several viewers left funny remarks, including:
"The fact that she went directly to that sewing machine to adjust Chewy's tux was so loving!!"
"Chewy actually got more muscular. I could tell right away."
"Maybe the tux shrank in the dryer? Definitely not the ice cream!"
"Chewy said, ‘Make it a 6XL. I'll grow into it!'"
My favorite part of this absolutely adorable video comes when Grandma helps Chewy into his newly enlarged tuxedo and says, "I fixed it for you, Chewy. It's not tight anymore."
I have to admit, my heart melted into a little puddle watching these two together.
