When you think of the hunky, contemplative characters that have filled Tom Selleck’s resume—such as Frank Reagan or Thomas Magnum—the last place you’d expect to catch the 81-year-old actor is the Hallmark Channel, known for all things warm and fuzzy. However, Selleck indeed had a stint on the network, though it wasn’t exactly in a cozy rom-com. In 2005, the actor originated the role of Jesse Stone in the film Jesse Stone: Stone Cold. Since the series debuted, Selleck has starred in eight additional films, the last one premiering on Hallmark in 2015. Here, read all about the films, the order to watch them in and where you can find them.

‘Jesse Stone: Stone Cold’ (2005)

In the first film in the Jesse Stone series, Tom Selleck takes the lead as a police chief in a New England town, having left behind his life as a Los Angeles detective. With a pair of killers on the loose and an intense investigation underway, Jesse struggles with the intensity of the job. Watch it through Sony Pictures Core through Prime Video, or rent it through YouTube or Apple TV.

‘Jesse Stone: Night Passage’ (2006)

The prequel to Stone Cold (and the film some would argue should be watched first!), Night Passage chronicles Jesse’s transition to becoming the police chief of the small town that serves as the backdrop of this series. Available to rent through YouTube or Apple TV.

‘Jesse Stone: Death in Paradise’ (2006)

In the third Jesse Stone film, the title character is swept up in an investigation involving a teenage girl whose body is discovered floating in a lake. Rent it through YouTube, Apple TV and Amazon Prime.
