Mama Sea Otter Showing Off Her Tiny Baby Is Melting Hearts Online
Only very lucky people like Alaska native @lexihilli spot a baby sea otter in the wild, and now her reaction is going viral for all the right reasons. She could hardly contain her excitement as a mama sea otter in Homer Spit, Alaska, showed off her fluffy baby!
Lexi shared the cute sea otter video on May 21, and her viewers are just as obsessed with the Alaska sea otters as she is. Nature doesn't get much sweeter than this! A warning for viewers, though: Lexi drops quite a few excited F-bombs, so feel free to adjust the volume accordingly.

This is the most wholesome Alaska wildlife encounter ever recorded! Lexi may have been hesitant at first, asking, "Are you coming here maliciously or as a friend?" but that made the interaction even more entertaining.
Viewers who've never lived near wild otters are also having a field day with that remark, but commenter @tzipporahanderson explained further. She wrote, "Sea otters are beautiful, lovely little creatures. North American river otters will fight you with nothing but their teeth and a broken bottle in the alleyway behind the 7-Eleven. And I love them both equally."

LOL! As others can see, this mama sea otter had no malicious intentions whatsoever. She just wanted Lexi to appreciate her adorable pup!

This Alaska sea otter encounter lasted for an hour before Lexi had to leave, but there's no question that the mama sea otter felt safe and sound with her new human friend around. She got so close that Lexi was the one who felt hesitant!
