Games Coming to PlayStation Plus In June Have Obvious Theme
The Playstation Plus Monthly Games lineup for June has something for everyone who enjoys multiplayer games or wants to play themselves in a world reminiscent of a classic 1990s movie.
Team up and fight
The big name game for June is Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2.
Or should we say big names?
The Super Smash Bros.-like platform fighting game lets users pit their favorite cartoon characters against each other, whether that is one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Jimmy Neutron, Garfield or someone from the SpongeBob Squarepants universe.
The sequel brings new aspects of gameplay, including new visuals, unique moves for each character and the ability to turn a fight with a super move.
While the multiplayer mode (local or online) is the main attraction, this game also has a single-player campaign based on stopping Vlad Plasmius from taking over the multiverse.
For more of a hardcore gaming experience, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide brings the opportunity to take back the city of Terium from hordes of bloodthirsty foes.
This action shooting game has a new four-player co-op mod with new melee combat and an enhanced gunplay element.
It also includes a custom player mode that allows users to create their own fighter from one of multiple classes and customize play style within a striketeam.
Survive the backyard in Grounded Fully Yoked
Grounded first landed in 2020 for Xbox One and PC players in 2020 then found its way to Playstation and Nintendo Switch in 2024, but it has distinct vibes from movies much older than that.
Fans of 1989's Honey, I Shrunk The Kids or 1998's A Bug's Life will find plenty of familiar themes in Grounded Fully Yoked, which follows four characters who were shrunk by a science experiment and must survive a mysterious backyard full of hazards and puzzles.
First- and third-person modes are available as Max, Willow, Pete and Hoops deal with spiders, ants, bees, dust mites, ladybugs and more critters who are either eager to help or looking to end their lives.
This game also has a single-player mode but it perhaps best enjoyed with friends in multiplayer mode. Solo or in teams, the characters are charged with finding food, building shelters and traps in order to survive while figuring out how they got in this mess and what it will take to get out.
The Playstation Plus download includes new modes, cross-play and all past content updates.
But that's not all
Two of the three May Playstation Plus games are still available until June 2 while a third will see its run continue.
That is EA Sports FC 26, which players can continue to download through June 16. If they do, they can still get the EA Sports FC 26 PlayStation Plus Icons Pack as a special add-on entitlement as well.
You must act more quickly to get Wuchang: Fallen Feathers or Nine Sols as those will only be available through June 2.
Playstation Plus subscribers can download the three June games from June 2-July 6.
While Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is only for Playstation 5, the others can be played on PS4 or PS5.
