Cockatoo's Midday Dance Party Has Serious ‘Brings Sexy Back' Energy
When my kids were younger, we used to end every movie night with an impromptu dance party while the credits rolled. Cutting loose and creating a spontaneous moment of fun are some of my favorite memories. As it turns out, some birds do this, too!
If you've never seen a Cockatoo dance like there's no tomorrow, Casper has you covered! Consider this your new go-to happy-making inspiration to watch whenever you need a quick boost.

This video shared by @casperthetoo may only be a brief 7 seconds of "SexyBack," but it's filled with all the drama and passion of a seasoned dancer! Where did he learn how to jam out like this, and how do I sign up for one of his classes?
Casper vows to "bring sexy back" like the song says, and he's pulling out all the epic moves: headbanging, spinning, wings out, and just feeling the rhythm with every step. I'd say this funny Cockatoo might be Justin Timberlake's biggest fan!
The 2006 hit isn't the only tune this talented bird rocks out to. There's one song that really brought out the silly, goofy moves, and it just might have you doing the same thing.

In a 2025 clip, Casper gave his all to Willow's "Whip My Hair," and it's pretty special.
I don't know why, but I feel the need to watch this a few more times with the energy he's bringing into my life right now.

Why Cockatoos Love To Dance
Even though I've never had a bird like Casper, I know Cockatoos are natural-born entertainers. Some are big talkers who chat up a storm, and others prefer interpretive dance, but they're all a real riot when they hear music.
When they dance, it's their way of expressing themselves, initiating playtime, or bonding with members of their flock. Even solo, you can tell how much fun Casper is having!
Experts note that there's a neurological link between a Cockatoo's auditory and motor brains, which means they're one of the few species capable of synchronizing dance moves to a beat. In fact, there are about 30 different, distinct moves these little cuties can bust out, including Casper's impressive choreographed routine to that JT classic!
