This Great Pyrenees Left Scratch Marks All Over the Fence for the Sweetest Reason
At first glance, the scratch marks covering the top of the fence looked a little mysterious. But the explanation turned out to be much less "escape artist dog" and much more "giant fluffy romantic comedy."
A sweet Great Pyrenees named Wednesday is currently melting hearts online because she has developed an extremely intense friendship with the handsome bearded neighbor next door, and she waits for him by the fence every day.

TikToker @wednesdaythegreatpyr shared the adorable clip with the caption, "Wednesday has a man crush on our neighbor. She stalks him ruthlessly until he gives in and comes to the fence for hugs."
And honestly? The second the neighbor walks over, the situation immediately makes sense.

The video shows the Great Pyrenees bouncing excitedly by the fence while her favorite human neighbor comes over to pet and hug her. The scratch marks along the top of the fence are apparently from her eagerly waiting there for him every day, like a giant, fluffy teenager with a crush.
People in the Comments Quickly Became Just as Obsessed With the Wholesome Neighbor Friendship as Wednesday Clearly Is:
• "I would trust that man with everything just by her reaction to him."
• "I have a crush on your neighbor, too!"
• "Well, damn, now I have a crush on your neighbor."
• "You can't be posting a sweet, bearded man and not expect to cause a commotion."
• "Is your dog allowed to have friends over?"
• "We all have a crush on your neighbor now!"
Others Pointed Out How Deeply Dogs Seem To Understand Certain People Almost Immediately:
• "That's one of her persons."
• "The unconditional love of a dog is unmatched."
• "I would trust that dude with my life based [on] her trust of him."
• "Those little jumpies. She says, ‘There's my man.'"
• "Well, we know why now. She has great taste."
Honestly, Wednesday's little happy hops when she sees him approaching could probably cure seasonal depression.
And the neighbor clearly adores her, too, which somehow makes the entire thing even sweeter. This is basically a Hallmark movie told entirely through fence scratches and giant dog hugs.
Are Dogs Good Judges of Character?
@yngjefe_95 I think it is a deal breaker if your dog doesnt like your significant other #jeffmorrow4#viral#fyp

Many dog parents believe their pets are excellent judges of character because dogs are incredibly observant of human body language, tone of voice, energy, and behavioral patterns. Research suggests dogs can often recognize emotional cues and may respond differently to people based on previous experiences and social signals.
While dogs are not magical lie detectors, they do tend to form strong bonds with people who make them feel safe, calm, and loved.
And judging by Wednesday's reaction, this neighbor appears to have been fully accepted into her inner emotional circle.
