Surfing can seem like an unapproachable sport for those who don’t live near the ocean. But Myrtle Beach vacationers are in luck.

Myrtle Beach is home to several surf schools welcoming students across skill and age levels. If you’re looking for an adrenaline-pumping new way to spend a beach day, here are some local surf schools that will have you shredding the waves in no time.

Jack’s Surf Lessons

Jack’s Surf Lessons and Board Rentals is a popular spot for Myrtle Beach visitors and locals to learn how to safely enjoy the waves.

For over a decade, the surf school has garnered over a thousand positive reviews online for its expert instructors who make learning to surf feel easy.

Surf lessons are tailored to all ages and abilities. For those who already know how to surf and want to go it alone, Jack’s also offers board rentals.

Kayak and paddleboard tours and rentals are also available.
