Myrtle Beach area July Fourth firework displays and important things to know before you go
If you are familiar with the 4th of July fireworks in the Myrtle Beach area, you may already know that they are spectacular.
Whether you watch them in Murrells Inlet, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach or Cherry Grove, the Grand Strand will not let you down.
However, there are restrictions when it comes to setting off your own fireworks.
South Carolina law about fireworks regulation has changed, and the City of Myrtle Beach updated its ordinance in 2022 to comply.
“The city’s new rule allows fireworks on private property – with limits about time and manner – but prohibits fireworks completely on the beach and on other public property. Violations of the new law now are a civil infraction instead of a misdemeanor, with a $250 fine for the first offense and a $500 fine for second and subsequent violations in the same year,” according to the City of Myrtle Beach website.
The city allows fireworks to be shot or thrown on private property between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.
