Memorial Day - a day to remember and honor the men and women who died while serving in the military - is always celebrated on the last Monday in May.
It’s the unofficial start to summer and associates the beginning of many summer activities, like barbecues, going to the beach, parades and fireworks.

Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall
As part of Myrtle Beach’s Military Appreciation Days, the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall, hosted by the Myrtle Beach Vet Center and Veterans Café, will be here on these days:
- Opening Ceremony, Friday, May 26, at 1 p.m.
- Remembrance Ceremony, Saturday, May 27, at 2 p.m.
- Closing Ceremony, Sunday, May 28, at 1 p.m.
Where: Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium, 1004 Crabtree Lane. It will be guarded 24/7.

Black Pearl Cultural Heritage and Bike Festival
Atlantic Beach Bike Fest, also known as Black Bike Week or the Atlantic Beach Memorial Day Black Pearl Cultural Heritage and Bike Festival, is a motorcycle rally held every year during Memorial Day weekend. Meet and greets, parties, live music, and entertainment will be held throughout the weekend.

Memorial Day Classic: The Ripken Experience
Memorial Day Classic is a baseball tournament that takes place in Myrtle Beach.

Military Appreciation Days Parade
Military Appreciation Days Parade & Community Picnic happens Saturday. Myrtle Beach’s Military Appreciation Days Parade route will be along Farrow Parkway at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach. Following the parade, a community picnic will take pace in Valor Memorial Park.

Memorial Day Weekend Yard Sale
Crooked Hammock is kicking off summer by offering major deals on merchandise, as well as introducing the newest summer swag at the brewery’s annual Memorial Day Yard Sale. SSB Memorial Day Golf Cart Parade
The Surfside Beach Memorial Day Golf Cart Parade allows you to dress up your carts in patriotic colors as prizes will be awarded. Immediately following the parade the winners will be announced at Neal and Pam’s Bar and Grill.

Memorial Day Ceremony for the City of Myrtle Beach
The Festive Brass of Myrtle Beach is performing in support of the City of Myrtle Beach’s Memorial Day Ceremony as we honor our past and present local veterans. The Festive Brass will perform pre-ceremony music starting around 10:30 a.m. leading up to the start of the ceremony at 11 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.
