Dragon Boat Festival date has been set for next year. Here are the details
An annual festival focused around boat races will return to Myrtle Beach next year.
On Tuesday, council approved the 2022 Dragon Boat Festival, which will include more than 50 teams.
There will also be live entertainment, food vendors, inflatables and a family fun zone.
The festival is planned for Thursday, April 30 in Market Common’s Grand Park from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Practices will be held April 25-29 between 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
One lane of Farrow Parkway will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Between 5,000 to 7,000 people are expect to attend the event.
