A portion of Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach will be closed for three days beginning Monday, Jan. 29, to complete demolition on of one of the Breakers Resort buildings, according to a media advisory sent by the city.
The demolition will occur on the oceanfront, just north of 21st Avenue North, at the “Seaside Building.”

Ocean Boulevard will be closed to traffic between 21st and 22nd Avenues North from Monday through Wednesday during daytime hours only.
Detours will be posted, and the barricades will be removed at night to allow traffic on this block. The sidewalk on the eastern side also will be closed at the demolition location. The Breakers Resort is preparing for new construction during the next few years.
