An art exhibit started this week at Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach titled “Steven Bleicher: The Kings Highway.”
Bleicher, a Coastal Carolina University professor of visual arts, combines his viewpoint with this travels and observations along Kings Highway.
The exhibit runs through April 22.
Regular gallery hours will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
“His impressions are distilled into mixed-media compositions that combine photorealistic graphite renderings developed from site sketches and photographs with corresponding road maps and found objects,” according to a press release from the museum.

The Arts @ the Church program presents a Piano and Organ Concert by Dianaand Janice James at 3 . Jan. 14 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, on Bay Road in Surfside Beach.
The concert is free. Any donations go to the performers.
The 5Innovation Group is hosting the Entrepreneur Showcase at 6:30 . Jan. 18 at the Lib Jackson theater at Coastal Carolina University. The event will showcase six local entrepreneurs from the Grand Strand who will present in a “shark tank”-type event before a panel of judges and a live audience. The audience will be able to vote for the best presentation and prizes will be awarded.
