Broadway at the Beach will host its third annual “A Very Broadway Christmas” on December 2. The all-day holiday event will feature a variety of holiday themed entertainment and activities, including the 23rd annual tree lighting celebration.
The Myrtle Beach Holiday Parade, hosted by Ripley’s Attractions, will begin at 11 a.m. and will be the start of the all-day “A Very Broadway Christmas” celebration. The parade route will begin on the 21st Avenue North side of Broadway at the Beach, near Pavilion Park West, and will follow the fire lane around the property, ending near Dave & Buster’s.

After, the parade guests are invited to join Broadway at the Beach for holiday entertainment and kids’ activities on The Avenue, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Kids’ activities include face painting, a balloon artist, character appearances from The Character Company, meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and more. In addition to the fun on The Avenue, Ripley’s Aquarium will be hosting a holiday dance party featuring D.J. Corey on their plaza, also from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The 23rd Annual Tree Lighting Celebration begins at 6 p.m. and will once again take place in the southwest corner of the property, between the Ferris Wheel at Pavilion Park West and WonderWorks. This year’s celebration will be hosted by WBTW’s Chief Meteorologist Frank Johnson and News Anchor Meghan Miller, and will include performances by Legends In Concert, Myrtle Beach High School Seahawk Show, Socastee High School Show Choir, Carolina Freestyle Cloggers, as well as other entertainers.
To round out the day, a fireworks extravaganza, sponsored by Helicopter Adventures, will light up the sky over Lake Broadway at 8 p.m.
