Top Black Friday shopping spots in Myrtle Beach (and their 2017 hours)

Black Friday has become an annual tradition in Myrtle Beach as families head our way to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and get a jump on their Christmas shopping with some amazing deals. Die hard shoppers love the once a year chance to take to the streets in the middle of the night and many others just like to browse and shop at more traditional hours while soaking in the sights and sounds of the season. Myrtle Beach’s wide range of shopping choices makes for the perfect Black Friday destination. Here’s a list of where to head for deals as well as a sneak preview of some of the hottest big brand Black Friday deals of the year.

The Market Common, 4017 Deville St., Myrtle Beach, SC

Open: 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24

You’ll definitely want to make The Market Common a part of your Black Friday plans this year as they have a great selection of the more upscale stores and restaurants in the area. The list of stores include Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Fossil and The Kangaroo Pouch.  You are sure to  find something for everyone on your nice list at The Market Common. Drop the non-shoppers off for a movie at the very comfy Grand 14 Cinema, and then meet up with them later for great food and drinks at one of the many restaurants.

Broadway at the Beach, 1325 Celebrity Circle, Myrtle Beach, SC

Open: 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24 (some stores opening early)

Broadway at the Beach has more than 100 specialty shops to peruse for unique gift ideas. Stop by Ripley’s Aquarium or WonderWorks for a fun — and educational — break for the little ones in your group.

Barefoot Landing,  4898 Hwy 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, SC

Open: 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24 (certain stores may open earlier)

For shoppers on the north end, Barefoot Landing is the ideal place to hit the stores on Friday. Enjoy the natural scenery while you check out all the specialty shopping, dining and entertainment options that Barefoot Landing has to offer.

This next list is not for the faint of heart; these stores are for the put-this-turkey-away-and-get-me-to-the-mall shoppers. The following stores are opening extra early with red-hot deals on Black Friday:

Coastal Grand Mall | 2000 Coastal Grand Circle, Myrtle Beach, SC

OPEN: 6 a.m. Friday, November 24

Select stores will open at 12 a.m. Friday at Coastal Grand Mall and the rest of the stores will open at 5 a.m.  Saturday they open at 8am and they’ll stay open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday. Get the best deals at some of the biggest retailers on the Grand Strand.

Best Buy | 1145 Oak Forest Lane, Myrtle Beach, SC

OPEN: 4 p.m. Thursday, November 23

Camp out to get the best deals on all of your electronics at Best Buy. The store opens on Thanksgiving night so you can shop all night long and then head out to the other sales later that day. The store will also hand out tickets up to two hours before the opening for doorbuster specials.

Kohl’s |  8646 Highway 17 Bypass, Myrtle Beach, SC

OPEN: 6 p.m. Thursday, November 23

Kohl’s will open at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving night with in-store specials featuring huge savings and incredible gifts. They will offer over 500 early bird and night owl specials including toys, electronics, jewelry, watches, small appliances, bedding, apparel and more through 1 p.m. on Black Friday.

Myrtle Beach Mall | 10177 N. Kings Hwy., Myrtle Beach, SC,

OPEN: Thursday, November 23

Bass Pro Shop will open at 8 a.m. Thanksgiving Day at the Myrtle Beach Mall followed by Ruby Tuesday, Carmike 12 and Books A Million. Belk, JC Penney and other retailers will open at 8 p.m. The stores will reopen at 5 a.m. on Black Friday.

Tanger Outlet Center | 10835 Kings Road, Myrtle Beach, SC and 4635 Factory Stores Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC

OPEN: 6 pm Thursday, November 23 through Black Friday. Sales will run through November 27.

At Tanger Outlets, you can shop overnight! Both outlet locations open Thanksgiving at 6 p.m. and stay open through Friday, November 27 until 10 p.m. Each store has a great list of savings for Black Friday and all weekend long.

Target | 1150 Seaboard Street, Myrtle Beach, SC and  140 Sayebrook Parkway, Myrtle Beach

OPEN: 6 p.m. Thursday, November 23

Target is following the trend this year and opening at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving night. If you’re not too stuffed, head over to the two Myrtle Beach locations for everything from video games and electronics to toys and homegoods. They’re offering hundreds of doorbusters. Shop Friday until 11 p.m. and again Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Toys “R” Us | 1100 Seaboard Street, Myrtle Beach, SC or 10125 Highway 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet, SC

OPEN: 5 p.m. Thursday, November 23

Toys “R” Us starts the shopping frenzy from 5 on Thanksgiving night. Get your little bundles of joy the hottest toys of the season and grab some great stocking stuffers too! The store will have extended hours throughout the holiday weekend.

Walmart opens its Black Friday sale up at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving night with discounts on toys, electronics, home and apparel. During that time they’ll have a one-hour in-stock guarantee in the stores. More specials will be available beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday and again at 8 a.m. Friday.
