Horry County Museum rolls weekly films; L.W. Paul farm demonstrates cooking
Horry County Museum (www.horrycountymuseum.org) keeps events hopping at two sites, both with free admission:
— “Documentary Matinee Series,” 1 p.m. Wednesdays at museum, 805 Main St., Conway (843-915-5320): “War Birds: Diary of an Unknown Aviator” on Oct. 4, and three “Carolina Stories” segments – “Ghosts & Legends” Volumes I, II and III,” on Oct. 11, 18 and 25, respectively.
— Cooking demonstration on how preservation of saltwater fish and fall peas preserved through pressure canning, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at L.W. Paul Living History Farm, 2279 Harris Shortcut Road, at U.S. 701, north of Conway (843-365-3596). Also, join a hourlong, guided farm tour at 3 p.m.
