During August 2017, a total of 301,895 passengers passed through the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), an increase of 22.1-percent
compared to August 2016.
At MYR, total passenger traffic in August 2017, which includes enplanements and deplanements, totaled 301,895 compared to 247,307 in August 2016. The number of people arriving on flights, or deplanements, totaled 146,430 compared to 120,839 in 2016.

“The Myrtle Beach, SC area is in high-demand, more people want to visit and are looking for convenient options to get to the destination quickly, our airline partners realize the opportunity and continue to increase nonstop air service offerings at MYR,” said Scott Van Moppes, director of airports. “August 2017 was a big month at the Myrtle Beach International Airport as our airline partners significantly increased flight operations, resulting in a 23-percent seat capacity increase. As a result of strong demand for the destination the Airport welcomed more passengers in August 2017 than any August on record.”
