Imara Woman magazine, based in Columbia, will being its 16th annual Health Empowerment Tour, “Mind, Body, Spirit: Sister to Sister!”to the Grand Strand this weekend.

The expo is 9 a.m.-2:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at North Myrtle Beach Middle School, 11240 S.C. 90, Little River.

Besides such amenities as health screenings, a fashion show, and cooking demonstrations, choose from two of the various workshops, including “Dementia in Our Communities … Let’s Have a Conversation,” “Age Ain’t Nothin’ But a Number!” Exercise in Disguise: Zumba!” and “Healthy Eating Can Taste Great.”

Admission is free, but advance registration is required, at 803-252-0647 or www.imarawoman.com. Wear comfortable attire and shoes, too.
