Apache Pier celebrates with free access for day

Apache Family Campground and Pier will celebrate its 11th annual Local’s Appreciation Day on the pier with free entry, parking, and fishing access.

The event is 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Apache Family Campground and Pier, 9700 Kings Road, just north of Myrtle Beach.

Free refreshments will be provided, including popcorn, Italian ice, and Pizza (while supplies last), beginning at 10 a.m., and entertainment will include Tony from S & T Karaoke, 2-5 p.m.

A fishing license is not required to fish on the pier. Bait, tackle, and fishing rods also are available for purchase or rent in the pier store.
