Eight acts face off in ‘Muse on the Waccamaw’ finals

Eight performers will compete in the the finals for the Create! Conway “Muse on the Waccamaw” Songwriting Contest, for a grand prize of a hand-blown glass trophy from Conway Glass, a recording package from Southern Harmony Recording Studio in Florence, and a featured slot for Conway’s 12th annual Live Oaks Art & Music Festival, Oct. 7.

The list comprises Randall Hill, Amanda Miele, Soldiers of Fortune, and Philip Whittaker – who each won their respective preliminary rounds – and four wild-card entrants: Ennui, Charles Grace, Fritz Frye, and Craig Talbot.

See the single-elimination concert unfold at 3 p.m. Sunday at The Warehouse, 104 Laurel St, Conway. It’s free to see, and part of Create! Conway’s “Indie Market on Laurel,” noon-6 p.m. nearby at the roundabout fountain at the entrance to the Riverwalk at 104 Laurel St.
