House of Blues Myrtle Beach to host ‘Black Hole Sun’ party for Aug. 21 eclipse

The House of Blues Myrtle Beach, on U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach, will host a ‘Black Hole Sun’ Party from noon-3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, in honor of the solar eclipse that will occur that day.

The name of the party is also the name of a popular 90s song by the band Soundgarden.

The party features $4 Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila, margarita and craft beer specials, with $2-$3 food specials and free eclipse viewing glasses.

Seafood fans know they’re in for a treat when the catch of the day catches their eye before they even make it to the table. This month, The Flying Fish will be celebrating their eighth anniversary in North Myrtle Beach.

First-time guests will notice right away that the restaurant also is a market, with some of that day’s haul on display, including entire fish on ice gazing woefully through the glass.
