Six songs to sing along to Friday at the 2017 Carolina Country Music Festival
Luke Combs’ “Hurricane” snuck up on CCMF planners as its has hit the top of the charts recently. Good news is: Combs is on the more intimate Jack Daniels’ stage. Give it a listen:
Released late last summer, Morgan Myles’ “We Won’t Go Home” didn’t get a chance to become a catchy summer tune. You’ll find yourself moving to this one, if you don’t know it already. Then, you’ll be clapping and singing along!
Ya can’t country party in Carolina without at least knowing the chorus of “Carolina” by Parmalee. And if you live here, you know to switch out California with Carolina.
Kip Moore’s “Beer Money” just barely beat out “Something ‘Bout a Truck,” and it’s mainly because we think the crowd will really get into a beer-drinking song come Friday night. Check it out:
We look forward to Billy Currington’s entire set. “Pretty Good at Drinking Beer,” “People Are Crazy” and “Let Me Down Easy” are a few we can’t wait to see live. But with this pick, we’re thinking of the couples who worked hard to get to CCMF in Myrtle Beach, survived another year of school or college, or just buckled down and saved up to upgrade their tickets this year. Y’all must be doin’ something right!
Outside of his Hootie set, which will be great for crossover fans, it’s hard not to look forward to “Wagon Wheel” — though die-hard country fans may roll their eyes. It’ll be a hit across the different generations that will be there Friday night.
