Chicago Cubs’ World Series trophy coming to Myrtle Beach this summer

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans will welcome the Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series Trophy for their 7:05 p.m. game Friday, June 23 to TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark.

The World Series Trophy, also known as the Commissioner’s Trophy, kicks off the Pelicans’ Cubs-A-Palooza weekend from June 23-25. On Friday, the first 500 fans in line will receive a wristband and will have the opportunity to view and take their photo with the trophy. Additional fans will be able to see the trophy if time allows. Gates for Friday’s game will open at 6 p.m. and the trophy line will open at approximately 7 p.m. In addition, Major League Hall of Famer Andre Dawson, a former Chicago Cub, will be on hand Friday to sign autographs from 7:30-9 p.m. (no bats or jerseys).

Cubs-A-Palooza weekend continues with Saturday’s 7:05 p.m. game. Cubs legend Bill Buckner will sign autographs from 7:30-9 p.m. (no bat bats or jerseys). Gates open at 5 p.m. for Sunday’s 6:05 p.m. game, and the first 1,000 fans inside the ballpark will receive a Joe Maddon Groovy Bandana as the Pelicans celebrate Cubstock – Woodstock with a Cubs twist. All fans can enjoy a postgame fireworks extravaganza, presented by East Coast Pyrotechnic Fireworks, after the games on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Pelicans are offering fans an all-inclusive Cubs-A- Palooza package throughout their three-day celebration of Chicago’s World Series championship. For just $100, fans receive a ticket to each game, a VIP pass to Buckner’s Q&A session on Saturday, Buckner and Dawson autographed photos in commemorative photo holders and a guaranteed Joe Maddon Groovy Bandana.
