It’s Mardi Gras – Myrtle Beach style! Here are a few places to satisfy that creole craving and add to your bead collection.

HOUSE OF BLUES, MYRTLE BEACH

They’ve been partying every Tuesday all month long, and Fat Tuesday will be no different. The party starts at 4 p.m. HouseOfBlues



Be sure to grab a Mardi Gras Mai Tai or try one of these menu items: Voodoo Eggrolls, Mardi Gras Fries, Shrimp Po’ Boy, Blackened Catfish Po’ Boy, Crawfish Etoufee or King Cake Cupcakes.

DICK’S LAST RESORT

Come join the fun and celebrate Fat Tuesday at Dick’s Last Resort Annual Mardi Gras Parade. Stand along the parade route and enjoy the sites before you head to the afterparty to take place at Dick’s Last Resort.

Specials include $2.50 domestic pints and bottles, $3 SoCo Hurricanes on the Rocks, $4 house wine and margaritas and $5 select appetizers.

After the parade, come celebrate Mardi Gras with Castano’s! In the bar and lounge there will be fun specialty food and drinks as well as Don Colton performing live with traditional New Orleans Mardi Gras music on his sax! Reservations will be accepted until 5 p.m.

MARSHI GRAS ON THE MARSHWALK

Taste-of-the-MarshWalk-31The MarshWalk brings Louisiana to Murrells Inlet with Marshi Gras on the MarshWalk!

Head to their Fat Tuesday celebration for Marshi Gras on the MarshWalk.

On Feb. 28, the MarshWalk will hold a costume parade led by Marshi Gras’ very own King and Queen. The parade will begin at Bovine’s at 7 p.m. then will take its course through the MarshWalk ending at The Wicked Tuna. Winners of the costume contest will be announced at The Wicked Tuna at 8.30 p.m. Giveaways of over $1,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the top four costumes.

Parade and costume registration runs from 5 p.m. to 6:35 p.m. at Bovine’s. Anyone can join the parade along the way, but only the participants who registered will be considered for prizes. If spectators do not have an awesome costume to wear, no fear! Each of the eight restaurants and bars at the MarshWalk will be giving away accessories and party favors including masks, beads, and much more. They will also offer special menus for food and drinks with a Louisiana flair.
