New dates announced for events canceled due to SC rain and flooding

Now that the rain is going away and drier weather is moving in, it’s time to get out and enjoy Myrtle Beach SC!
Several events were canceled and have now announced new dates, so be sure to mark your calendars!
HARVEST HOME WEEKEND FESTIVAL
October 10 & 11
Related contentBrookgreen Gardens has rescheduled Harvest Home Weekend for Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11.
This event will feature hay rides, pumpkin painting, entertainment, artisan potters, sweetgrass basket-makers and more.
Costumed characters will also perform in the Enchanted Storybook Forest.
You can also take a cruise on the “not so spooky” swamp adventure creek cruise.
WHEN: October 10 & 11 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
WHERE: Brookgreen Gardens, 1931 Brookgreen Drive, Murrells Inlet (entrance is off of U.S. 17)
COST: Included with regular park admission.

SURFSIDE BEACH FAMILY FESTIVAL
October 17
Surfside Beach has rescheduled the Family Festival for Saturday, October 17.Related content
The festival will be on Surfside Drive between Hollywood and the beach from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Josh Brannon Band (country/country rock) and the Swashtones (beach/oldies) will provide musical entertainment.
You can shop from over 140 arts and crafts vendors.
Kids will love the games, inflatables, magic show, petting zoo and more.
Admission is free.
OKTOBERFEST AT THE MARKET COMMON
October 23 & 24
The Oktoberfest celebration at The Market Common has been moved to October 23 and 24.
Related contentThis family-friendly event will have Oktoberfest beer for the adults and several activities for the kids.
Activities include a pumpkin patch, face painting and inflatables.
There will also be several food booths available and vendors.
WHEN: October 23 4 p.m.-9 p.m.; October 24 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

TASTE OF THE TOWN
November 5
The annual Taste of the Town has been rescheduled fro November 5.Related content
Sample food from several local restaurants in one evening, in one place. In addition to featuring a large variety of restaurants, Taste of the Town also includes entertainment, kid zone and a beer & wine garden.
WHEN: Thursday, November 5 4 p.m.-10 p.m.
WHERE: Myrtle Beach Convention Center
COST: $5 in advance, $6 at the door, Children 14 & under are free. Food tickets are $1 each.
