It's time for fall festivals in Myrtle Beach SC!

Labor Day may mean the end of summer, but in Myrtle Beach SC, it also means the beginning of fall festival season!

From celebrations of food to culture and everything in between, there is something for everyone along the Grand Strand this fall.


September 4 & 5

Kick-off fall festival season with barbecue and music on Labor Day weekend!

On Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5 sample barbecue from cooking teams competing for cash prizes and the title of barbecue champion of South Carolina.

While eating your barbecue, enjoy live music, arts & crafts vendors, a car show and kids activities.

WHEN:  September 4 6 p.m.-10 p.m. and September 5 noon-10 p.m.

WHERE: Beach, Boogie and BBQ is at Horry-Georgetown Technical College Conference Center, 950 Crabtree lane (near Grand Park in Market Common)

September 4-6

Three days of food, wine and brew.

The party kicks-off on Friday night with Chocolate Under the Moon. Guests will get to sample a variety of deserts and there will be a moonshine mixology competition for the best moonshine cocktail.

Saturday is Brews ‘N The Beach. Guests will have the opportunity to sample craft brews from across the country and also go home with a souvenir tasting glass. The evening will also include live music from The Sick Stooges.

Sunday is the Grand Wine Tasting. Guests will be able to taste wines from across the country and around the world while enjoying music from The Paul Grimshaw Band.

WHEN: September 4 5 p.m.-9 p.m., September 5 4 p.m.-8 p.m., September 6 1 p.m.- 6 p.m.

September 24-27

Experience Greek cuisine and culture in Myrtle Beach SC!

St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church is hosting its annual Greek Festival September 24-27.

Guests will enjoy foods such as gyros, roasted lamb, Spanikopita, Greek salad, Greek pastries, breads and more. While enjoying the food, guests will be entertained by Greek music, dancing, vendors, children’s activities and more.

WHEN: September 24 11 a.m.- 9 p.m.; September 25 & 26 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; September 27 noon-7 p.m.

September 25-27

Shop for arts and crafts displayed in the historic Atalaya home in Huntington Beach State Park.

The festival features over 100 artists. Local musicians will also perform in the courtyard.

A food court will also be available featuring seafood and barbecue.

WHEN: September 25 Noon-6 p.m.; September 26 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; September 27 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

WHERE: Huntington Beach State Park, 16148 Ocean Hwy (U.S. 17), Murrells Inlet

September 26

Celebrate the cultures and the cuisine of both Irish and Italians!

The annual Irish Italian International Festival is September 26 in North Myrtle Beach SC.

In addition food, guests will enjoy two stages of entertainment, street performers, vendors and more.

Local restaurants will compete for “best entree,” “best decorated” and “best dessert.”

You can also take part in a spaghetti eating contest!

September 26

Brew at the Zoo is a fundraising event for Brookgreen Gardens.

On Saturday, September 26, guests will get to choose from 30 regional and national crafts beers to sample.

The band Bullfrog will provide entertainment.

Food will be available for purchase.

WHEN: September 26 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

October 10 & 11

Brookgreen Gardens invites you to enjoy family fall activities on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11.

This event will feature hay rides, pumpkin painting, entertainment, artisan potters, sweetgrass basket-makers and more.

Costumed characters will also perform in the Enchanted Storybook Forest.

You can also take a cruise on the “not so spooky” swamp adventure creek cruise.

October 3

Celebrate fall in historic downtown Conway SC.

The Conway Fall Festival features arts & crafts, a car show, entertaiment, food, kids activities and more.

October 10 & 11

This festival celebrates shrimp! The Little River Shrimp Fest is held on the waterfront.

Guests will, of course, get to enjoy shrimp and other fresh seafood from local restaurants. There will also be your standard festival food.

While enjoying the food, guests cans shop from vendors and enjoy live music. Kids will love the children’s area that will feature balloon artists, face painting and more.

WHEN: Saturday, October 10 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, October 11 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

October 10 & 11

Celebrate fall on the Boardwalk.

For two days enjoy live bands, a beer garden, food, craft vendors and kids activities.

Featured bands include Cowboy Mouth, Machine Funk, Painted man, Groove Fetish, Paper Work, Collision Course and Channellheimer Ooompha Band.

OCTOBER 17 & 18

See more than 140 wooden boats on display at the Georgetown Wooden Boat Show.

In addition to boat display, there will be a wooden boat building competition, children’s model boat building, knot tying, arts & crafts, food and music.

All proceed from the event benefit the South Carolina Maritime Museum.

October 17

If you are not from the south, you may be wonder, what is bog? It’s a favorite southern dish made with chicken sausage an rice.

The Loris Bog-off Festival is a perfect time to try this dish, as cooking teams will compete for the title of best chicken bog.

In addition to eating, guests will enjoy two stages of entertainment, a car show, children’s area, vendors and more.

October 17

Taste wines from across the country and around the world. This event will also feature specialty vendors, food sampling, live music and for those who don’t like wine, beer.

Celebrate Oktoberfest at The Market Common. This family-friendly event will have Oktoberfest beer for the adults and several activities for the kids.

Activities include a pumpkin patch, face painting and inflatables.

There will also be several food booths available and vendors.

It may be Halloween, but you can still pretend it’s summer! North Myrtle Beach invites you to the Endless Summer Festival. The festival will be held on Main street and feature vendors, entertainment, children’s area and carnival rides.

November 5

Sample food from several local restaurants in one evening, in one place. In addition to featuring a large variety of restaurants, Taste of the Town also includes entertainment, kid zone and a beer & wine garden.
