Myrtle Beach for Kids - Entertaining Teens

Looking for ways to get your teen to put down the phone and other devices to have fun with the family?

There are several activities in Myrtle Beach SC that your teen will love and may keep them off their devices for awhile.

From haunted houses to thrill rides, arcades to shopping, here’s a few suggestions.


Teens will love to spend a day on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The Boardwalk and the surrounding area offers many attractions for teens

  • SkyWheel – Your entire family will love being close to 200 feet above Myrtle Beach.
  • Arcades – Teens will enjoy visiting one of the arcades along the Boardwalk.
  • Slingshot – This thrill ride throws riders more than 300 feet high at speeds up to 120 miles an hour.
  • Ripley’s Haunted Adventure – Teens will love a good scare at this haunted house. You will be amazed by the animatronics and chilling special effects inside this multi-million-dollar haunted house.
Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Complex

This entertainment complex offers three attractions.

  • Hollywood Wax Museum – Teens will love to see their favorite actors made out of wax. Some teen favorites include Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
  • Outbreak – If your teen likes zombie movies, this will be a hit. Guests make their way through this zombie infested attraction.
  • Hannah’s House of Mirrors – Can your family find the way out of this house of mirrors? This attraction is great for all ages.

There are several shopping and entertainment complexes that teens will love to spend time exploring.

  • Broadway at the Beach – Teens will love shopping at the stores at Broadway along with visiting many of the attractions that are included in the entertainment complex. Plus teens will love to check out the rock memorabilia inside Hard Rock Cafe.
  • Barefoot Landing – Just like Broadway teens will love the shopping that Barefoot offers. Also, be sure to check out the concert line-up at House of Blues. Teen favorites often come to town.
  • The Market Common – Teen girls will love Charming Charlie and Bath & Body Works along with the many other shops at Market Common. The shopping area also offers a movie theater and several restaurants.
  • Go Ape! – Great idea for adventurous or athletic teens. This rope course includes five zip lines, two of which take you across a lake. In addition to the zip lines, you can challenge yourself to the ropes course that includes 40 different crossings and tarzan swings.
  • Radical Ropes – Teens will love the challenge of making it through this course. It includes ziplines for adults and kids, aerial challenges and a climbing wall with a ‘leap of faith.’
