Myrtle Beach SC is a great place to take a family vacation. Not only because of the wonderful beaches, but for all the kids activities available along the Grand Strand.
So, GoToMyrtleBeach.com is starting a Myrtle Beach Kid series to help you plan your Myrtle Beach family vacation.
This week, I’m influenced by the movie ‘Jurassic World.’ If your child loves dinosaurs, I have mapped out a dream vacation.
DINOSAURS: THE EXHIBITION
First stop, Dinosaurs: The Exhibition at Broadway at the Beach. This exhibit features more than 25 hand crafted models of dinosaurs. Kids will also love all of the interactive exhibits, including Dig a Dino, T-Rex Fun House, Ride A Dino and the Dino Movie Room.
While you are at Broadway at the Beach make a dinosaur friend to take home. Visit Build-A-Dino. This store is part of the Build-A-Bear Workshop. Kids chose the stuffed animal they want to create. They then get to add the stuffing to the animal and even place a heart inside their new friend.
Next up miniature golf. There are two dinosaur themed courses along the Grand Strand.
Jurassic Golf is near the Myrtle Beach International Airport on Kings Highway. Here you can play among dinosaurs such as the T-Rex and the raptor.
In North Myrtle Beach, you can play mini golf among the prehistoric creatures at Professor Hacker’s Dinosaur Adventure. As you make your way through the course you will encounter many dinosaur sculptures, which allows for great photo opportunities.
If your child likes to dig, you will want to check out the Children’s Museum of South Carolina. The museum features a South Carolina fossil hunt where kids can become a paleontologist. They can dig through sand and find fossils.
