Military Appreciation Days in Myrtle Beach SC are all month long, however, several events will take place this weekend.
The Military Appreciation Days Parade is on Armed Forces Day, which is Saturday, May 16.

The parade, along Ocean Boulevard, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The parade route starts at 27th Avenue North and ends at 9th Avenue North.
J.R. Martinez is the Grand Marshal for the parade.
Martinez is an Army veteran, an actor, a motivational speaker, and for fans of ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ a past winner of the competition.
If you are not familiar with his story, Martinez was injured in 2003 in Iraq when the vehicle he was driving hit a roadside bomb.
Following the parade, there will be a Big Family Picnic at 9th Avenue North. Fans of J.R. Martinez will have the opportunity to meet him at the picnic.
A traveling Vietnam Wall, an Agent Orange Quilt, and two Vietnam-era helicopters will be on display in Myrtle Beach May 14-16. The display will be located on Ocean Boulevard between 8th and 9th Avenues North.
