For the fourth year, the Divas Half Marathon and 5K series returns to the Grand Strand in hopes of empowering women.

Even if you are not a runner, you should go to the race as a spectator to cheer on the divas and see just how much fun they are having. Spectators are encouraged to dress like divas as well.
As the divas cross the finish line, they are handed flowers and champagne. They also receive a “blinged out” medal.
However, don’t let the tutus and the fun fool you, this 13.1 mile race in North Myrtle Beach is a USA Track & Field certified course.
This half marathon attracts people from across the country and some add this race to their vacation plans in the Myrtle Beach area.
The official charity of The Divas Half Marathon & 5K is the Young Foundation of Florida. The race also supports charities that make a difference in the lives of women, both locally and nationally.
If you plan to go, the Divas 5K will start at 7:00 Sunday morning and the Divas Half Marathon starts at 7:10 near the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Main Street.
Be aware of road closures until about 11 Sunday morning along Ocean Boulevard. Police will close roads as runners approach and then reopen after the final runner pasthrses ough the area.
