60. Sea Captain’s House

As one of the most popular seafood spots in town, Sea Captain’s is universally loved by critics, locals and visitors and lauded for its oceanfront location, rich tradition and attention to detail. Oh, and the food’s not bad either — from fresh-caught fish to its famous She-Crab soup, this seafood restaurant does it right.

59. Hollywood Wax Museum

Though this brand-new Myrtle Beach attraction won’t open until mid- to late June, it’s already become one of the most buzzed about places in town this year thanks to its stunning exterior featuring “The Great Ape of Myrtle Beach.” When complete it will feature more than 80 celebrity wax figures, a maze called Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors and a zombie-themed attraction called Outbreak: Dread The Undead.

This Murrells Inlet seafood hub has been serving up selections from the “seafood captial of South Carolina” for more than 65 years. Seafood fans know they’re in for a treat when the catch of the day catches their eye before they even make it to the table. This month, The Flying Fish will be celebrating their eighth anniversary in North Myrtle Beach.

First-time guests will notice right away that the restaurant also is a market, with some of that day’s haul on display, including entire fish on ice gazing woefully through the glass. This fresh food is one of the many reasons The Flying Fish is so popular, with the business promising less than 48 hours between boat and plate.
