A new barbecue restaurant is opening near downtown Myrtle Beach.

Swig & Swine is opening at 523 Broadway Street near the Tavrne. Swig & Swine is a South Carolina-based barbecue brand that opened in 2013 with locations in Charleston, Summerville and Mount Pleasant, according to the eatery’s website.

Cooked with hickory and oak, Swig & Swine offers brisket, pork, ribs, and wings to customers. Swig & Swine pitmaster and owner Anthony DiBernardo told The Sun News in January 2023 he was excited to add a Grand Strand location.

“I never imagined more than one location,” DiBernardo said at the time. “I never imagined a location just five block from the beach, so it’ll be pretty cool. We’re excited.”
