A steak & seafood restaurant in Conway, SC, is closed after less than two years in business.

A sign announcing the closing was seen Monday on the front door of Eugenia’s Steak & Seafood at 1650 Church St.

“We are closed. Thanks for your patronage,” the sign read.

Facebook users who say they worked at the restaurant posted that the staff was notified about the closing on Dec. 31. No former employees could be reached for comment.

Restaurant owner Keith Benton and General Manager Dustin Townsend couldn’t be reached for comment.

The restaurant, which opened in March 2022, according to My Horry News, was in the works for three years prior to opening. Eugenia’s has a billboard along U.S. Highway 501 South, and its dining area featured a green and yellow John Deere tractor.
