Surfside Beach is losing one of its longtime businesses.

Anthony’s Pizza & Pan Pasta restaurant announced it was closing Monday in a Facebook post.

The restaurant announced that owner and operator Richard Cicero was “finally retiring.”

“He and his entire family have given more than 20 years of service and their daily life to making their famous marinara and dinners for our Grand Strand community,” the posting said.

“Thank you to all of our loyal patrons, who have always been more friends and family, than simply customers for Richard.”

The pizzeria was located at 2298 Glenns Bay Road in Surfside Beach.

Anthony’s Pizza’s website is no longer accessible, and it also announced it was selling its equipment, and interested parties could reach out to the restaurant on its Facebook page.
