A popular sandwich shop has opened a location in the Myrtle Beach area.

Firehouse Subs is at 148 Sapwood Road in Marketplace at the Mill, which is in Carolina Forest, according to the restaurant’s announcement.

The restaurant offers hot specialty subs, build-your-own-subs, salads and chips.

It opens at 10:30 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. daily.

The owners, Larry Chandler and Jody Chandler, have 37 sub locations in South Carolina and North Carolina.

The uncle-nephew duo are dedicated to giving back through the chain’s Public Safety Foundation, which has granted over $548,000 to first responders and public safety organizations in the Myrtle Beach area.

“We are excited to bring the indulgent flavors of Firehouse Subs to a new part of town at Marketplace at the Mill,” said Larry Chandler in the release. “Every new restaurant Jody and I open gives us the opportunity to raise more funds for local first responder heroes thanks to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.”

There are five Firehouse Subs locations in Horry County.
