A longtime Myrtle Beach sandwich shop that closed last year reopens with a new owner
A Myrtle Beach sandwich shop that had been closed since last year reopened under new ownership Monday.
The shop had operated for 43 years before the original owners stepped down.
Mr. Sub, which has been closed since March 2022, opened up its doors at its downtown location on Broadway Street.
It is not clear if, or what, changes have been made.
Ken Conley and his brother, Tom, operated the restaurant since 1979. Ken turned 65 last year and Tom, 64.
“We’re hoping somebody actually buys the business, but we’re getting out of it,” Ken Conley told The Sun News last March. “We’ve been at it 43 years, we figure it’s time for somebody else to get a hold of this thing and try it out for a while. We’ve had a few people show an interest.”
Mr. Sub’s menu featured a variety of oven-baked, grilled or cold subs; salads; and some extras and sides.
